About This Remote
Tuner selection, 5-disc CD changer navigation, dual cassette control, and the 3-band graphic equalizer are all back at your fingertips with the right Sony LBTD550 remote for the LBT-D550 compact deck receiver system. This mid-1990s Hi-Fi system delivered 100 watts per channel into 8-ohm loads, and it paired those amplifier specs with a built-in tuner, phono input, and auxiliary inputs, making the remote central to everyday use across all those sources. Its part number is RM-S221, and it works over infrared with no code entry required. The everyday keys stay easy to find at a glance, arranged to match the layout owners of this system will recognize.

What was the Sony LBT-D550 and when was it sold?
The LBT-D550 was a compact Hi-Fi component system released around 1994, part of Sony's mid-1990s LBT series. ๐ฆ Shipping Information
At USA Remotes, we’re committed to getting your replacement remote to you fast, free, and hassle-free โ the same way your remote shows up ready to use, with no pairing or programming. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how we ship, how long it takes, and what to do if anything goes sideways.
๐ How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is free on every order โ always. No minimum purchase, no handling fees, and no surprise charges at checkout. The price you see is the price you pay.
๐ข Where do you ship from?
Every order ships from our U.S. fulfillment center. We’re a U.S.-based company, so your remote never sits in customs or crawls in from overseas โ it ships domestically and arrives quickly.
โฑ๏ธ When will my order ship?
We move fast. Orders placed before 2:00 PM Mountain Time (MT) on a business day ship the same day. Orders placed after the cutoff, on weekends, or on public holidays ship the next business day.
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays.
๐ How long will it take to arrive?
Once your order leaves our warehouse, most deliveries arrive within 2โ4 business days. Paired with same-day processing, the majority of customers have their remote in hand within just a few days of ordering.
Delivery windows are estimates, not guarantees, and can run a little longer during weekends, holidays, peak seasons, or severe weather.
โก Do you offer faster (expedited) shipping?
We don’t currently sell a separate paid expedited option, but many orders go out via USPS Priority Mail, which typically reaches most U.S. addresses in 2โ3 business days at no extra cost.
If you’re in a time-sensitive situation, email us at cs@usaremotes.com before you order and we’ll let you know what’s possible.
๐ฌ Which carriers do you use?
Because remotes are small and light, the vast majority of orders ship via USPS (United States Postal Service) โ usually USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. For larger multi-remote orders we may use UPS or FedEx. The carrier is selected automatically to get your order to you as quickly and safely as possible.
๐ Do you ship internationally?
Yes โ we ship internationally. International orders typically arrive within 8โ14 business days, depending on your destination and how long it spends in local customs. Carriers and shipping methods vary from country to country, so your order travels the most efficient route available.
Please note: international shipments may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by the destination country. These are set by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient.
๐๏ธ Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, and military addresses?
Yes. We ship to all 50 states, U.S. territories (including Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands), and APO/FPO/DPO military addresses. Because these rely on USPS, transit times may run a bit longer than the standard 2โ4 business days.
๐ฎ Do you deliver to PO Boxes?
Absolutely. Since most orders ship via USPS, PO Box delivery is no problem. On the rare occasion an order ships via UPS or FedEx, we may reach out for a physical street address.
๐ How do I track my order?
As soon as your order ships, we’ll email you a tracking number. You can also check your status anytime on our Track Your Order page. If you don’t see the email within a day of ordering, check your spam folder or get in touch.
๐ง Why does my order say “Completed”?
When your order ships, you’ll get a confirmation email and your order status will change to “Completed.” That wording can be a little misleading โ “Completed” simply means your order has shipped and left our warehouse, not that it’s already been delivered. Just use the tracking number in your email to follow it the rest of the way to your door.
๐ญ My tracking number isn’t updating โ what should I do?
It’s normal for tracking to go quiet for a day or two, especially right after a label is created or over a weekend โ carriers don’t scan a package at every stop. If there’s no movement for more than 3โ4 business days, email us at cs@usaremotes.com and we’ll chase it down for you.
๐ฆ My tracking says “Delivered” but I don’t have it
If the carrier marked your package delivered but it’s not in your hands:
- Check around your home โ porch, mailbox, side door, garage, or wherever packages usually land.
- Ask household members or neighbors in case someone brought it in for you.
- Wait 24 hours โ packages are sometimes scanned as delivered slightly before they actually arrive.
If it still hasn’t turned up:
- Contact your local USPS office โ they can pull GPS delivery confirmation showing exactly where the package was scanned.
- Contact us at cs@usaremotes.com or (720) 204-8889. We’ll help open an investigation and retrieve the GPS scan data if needed.
Insurance: Our shipments include carrier insurance against loss or damage. We’ll guide you through the claim process with the carrier and stay on it until it’s resolved.
๐ My remote arrived damaged or doesn’t work
Every remote is tested and packed with care, but if yours shows up damaged or has a defect, you’re covered by our 1-year warranty and full compatibility guarantee. Just contact us at cs@usaremotes.com with your order number (and a quick photo if it’s physically damaged), and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund right away. Full details are in our Returns & Refunds policy.
๐ What if I entered the wrong address?
If you spot a mistake in your shipping address, contact us immediately. If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we can fix it. If a package comes back to us as undeliverable (wrong or incomplete address), we’ll reach out to arrange a re-ship to the correct address.
๐ Why did my order arrive in separate packages?
If you ordered more than one remote, your items may occasionally ship in separate packages or arrive on different days. Each shipment gets its own tracking number, so don’t worry if one lands before the other.
โ๏ธ Holiday & weather delays
Carrier networks slow down during major holidays and severe weather. We still ship on our normal same-day schedule, but transit times may stretch during these periods โ and once a package is with the carrier, those delays are outside our control.
โ Our commitment to you
Your satisfaction is our priority. If anything goes wrong with your shipment, we’ll work directly with USPS or the relevant carrier to make it right and get your remote to you safely. Nobody should be stuck without a way to control their TV, sound bar, or AC.
