Return & Refund Policy

At USA Remotes, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. This policy explains when and how you can return a product, request a refund, or receive a replacement.

30-Day Return Window

You have 30 days from the delivery date to request a return. Requests made after 30 days cannot be accepted.

What Can Be Returned

We accept returns on products that are:

  • Unused and unopened, in their original packaging
  • Include all original accessories (batteries, manuals, inserts)
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

What Cannot Be Returned

We do not accept returns for:

  • Products that have been used, opened, or installed
  • Products returned without their original packaging or accessories
  • Incompatible products (please verify compatibility before ordering — our Remote Finder and product pages list compatible models)
  • Customer ordering errors (wrong model, wrong brand selected)
  • Sale or clearance items (all sales final)
  • Exchanges for incorrectly ordered products

Defective or Wrong Items

If you receive a defective product or the wrong item, we’ll make it right at no cost to you.

  • Report within 30 days of purchase
  • Email us at cs@usaremotes.com with your order number and a description of the issue
  • We may ask for a photo of the defect or wrong item
  • We’ll send a free replacement or issue a full refund, including return shipping
  • 60-day warranty coverage for manufacturing defects and warranty repairs — we cover return shipping for warranty claims

Return Shipping

  • We pay return shipping for: defective products, wrong items shipped, and warranty repairs within 60 days of delivery
  • Customer pays return shipping for: all other returns, including changes of mind

Restocking Fee

A 20% restocking fee applies to returns caused by customer error (wrong model ordered, changed mind, incompatible product). No restocking fee applies to defective or wrong items.

How to Start a Return

  1. Email cs@usaremotes.com with:
    • Your order number
    • The item you wish to return
    • The reason for the return
    • Photos (if reporting a defect or wrong item)
  2. We’ll review your request and respond within 1-2 business days
  3. If approved, we’ll provide return instructions and a shipping address
  4. Ship the item back in its original packaging with all accessories
  5. Once we receive and inspect the return, we’ll process your refund

Please do not send products back without first contacting us — returns received without prior authorization may be refused.

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method
  • Refunds are processed within 3 business days of receiving and inspecting your return
  • Your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the refund to your account
  • You’ll receive an email confirmation once your refund has been issued

International Orders

International orders are final sale, except in the case of defective products or shipping errors on our part.

  • We do not accept returns for change of mind, compatibility issues, or customer ordering errors on international orders
  • For defective or wrong items, we cover return shipping and issue a full refund or replacement
  • For all other international return requests, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs in both directions

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you received the wrong item or a defective product, we’ll issue a replacement free of charge. If you ordered the incorrect product, please place a new order for the correct item (subject to our return policy above).

Damaged Shipments

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Take photos of the damaged packaging and product immediately
  2. Email cs@usaremotes.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number
  3. We’ll arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you
